WHAT I TEACH:
I teach and invite you to explore the following aspects of Focusing Partnership:
THE FELT SENSE: Holding, Waiting, Naming, and Resonating
DEFINING and ENTERING THE FELT SENSE: Through Physical Descriptions, Metaphors/Images, Gestures and Movement, Emotional/Feeling
Tones, and even Sound!
SELF EMPATHY: Learning to be conscious of accessing a way to experience self empathy, either for the felt sense, the situation/issue,
or oneself.
CLEARING A SPACE: Learning to center oneself and witness what is blocking one from inner peace and gently placing such
items aside. Exploring different ways of clearing a space.
CLARIFYING THE ISSUE: Learning how to name your issue/situation/problem so that you may open a clearer entrance to your
felt sense.
BEGINNING SESSIONS WITH THE FELT SENSE: Learning how to be with your own self in a focusing way so that the felt sense
may arise and lead you to the issue or situation to which it relates. Basically, asking: "What wants to be come and be
known?"
WHOLE BODY, REFLECTIVE LISTENING: Learning how to simply witness the process of the focuser and reflect back to them the
most important or most clear aspects of their experience. Learning how to Just Be There for Another, with no need to fix,
comment, respond, or in any way react. This embodied listening frees you up to simply enjoy the process of the focuser.
LISTENING TO LISTENING: Pausing the focusing process to receive the listener's reflection and check back with one's felt
sense to enhance the healing dynamics of focusing.
CLOSURE: Review and following trails.
